Every community is somehow finding itself faced with the problem of drug and alcohol abuse. In some areas it will be nyaope, while others would battle with tik and other drugs we may not know about as the names keep changing. Well to highlight the week, the Department of Social Development have partnered with the Central Drug Authority and other UN organisations to educate the public, and young people in particular, about the dangers and consequences of substance abuse for a drug-free South Africa. The Department of Public Enterprises has urged Creditors, employees and other stakeholders of SAA to vote in support of the Business rescue Plan of the airline. In a statement the DPE says the approval of the Business Plan would help creditors and employees to be co -creators of the new airline. SAA BRP's have now scheduled the creditors meeting for today (Thursday) to vote on the business plan.
