Sudan's transitional government has ordered the immediate closure of the nation's borders with Libya and Central African Republic, the first such measure taken by the new Sudanese authorities since the ousting of President Omar al-Bashir. The announcement followed a meeting between the transitional government and the government of South Darfur State, part of Sudan's western Darfur region that has suffered from violence since 2003. The northeast African country has often complained about arms trafficked through its borders with the two countries. As you heard in the news that the DA has reiterated that it is fully behind its leader, Mmusi Maimane amid reports of concerns in some sections of the DA's leadership about a Cape Town house and a car that was used by Maimane. Maimane has denied a Sunday newspaper report that he refused to hand back a vehicle allegedly supplied to the party by disgraced Steinhoff boss Markus Jooste - once allegations of misconduct at the company emerged. The DA says Maimane immediately returned the vehicle soon after the allegations surfaced.
