this week, i'm dedicating the podcast to my grandmother - someone who was not just a grandmother to multiple dozens of us, but also a great grandmother AND great great grandmother. she LOVED her family - and not like that automatic love someone feels for their family, she unconditionally loved us. regardless of what we chose, what we did, who we were, what we believed, we were always welcome with her in her home, in her arms and at her dinner table. i wish i knew how to love without conditions but tbh im not great at it. i hope she stays with me to teach me.

you know how someone tells you something about their life and we feel the need to interject? this week i'm sharing things i learned from my grandmother and the number 1 thing i think of is how she never told us what to do, judged us had any opinions on what crazy thing all of her hundreds (it feels like) grandchildren were doing next. all she said was "oh that's wonderful" - her tagline.

some of you may know that my angel of a grandmother passed last weekend 10/17 and it's been such a hard month for our family, regardless of that. it really made me feel grateful more than anything. more than feeling sad, more than feeling discouraged - grateful that we are going through hard times together, not alone. and laughing all the way through it. i hope you find a moment to call those you love and remember to be grateful too x
