With a core group of players out, Morris and Harrel were moved up to the starting line up and Dudley was plugged in as back up center. The Lakers were not able to match up well defensively with the smaller lineup of the Suns.

The Lakers put a stop to the losing streak with Dennis Schroder back in the lineup. They beat the Portland Trail Blazers 103 to 92 on the defensive containment of Damian Lillard as well as a much needed spark in offense from Schroder, Harrell and Caruso. The Lakers are still struggling from long range going 7 for 27 on this game but they had more blocks and steals and less turnovers than Portland. Effectively relying on their defense to win games like they did last season.

The Lakers take another loss, this time to the Miami Heat 96 to 94. Lebron James was not as aggressive in this game as he needed to be with AD and Schroder sidelined another game. Kyle Kuzma led the Lakers in scoring as he started the first half of the game looking to take the open shots. Harrell finished with a double double and was as energetic as he can get on the basketball court but his minutes were split between Marc Gasol and Markieff Morris. There are rumors that the Lakers could look at bringing Demarcus Cousin into the team.

The Lakers beat the Thunder in overtime one more time 114 to 113 without Anthony Davis and Alex Caruso on the lineup again. Lakers struggled for most of the game but especially on defense, Lebron bailed out the team with a huge 3 pointer at the end of the 4th and a defensive stop in overtime. He keeps pushing the team forward as they have now won 6 consecutive games but it's coming at the expense of a lot of minutes.

Lebron James finished with 25, 6 and 7, Schroder 19 points, 7 and 5. Harrell 21, Kuzma 15 points and 9 rebounds.  Matthews finished with 10 points.

The Lakers beat the Thunder in overtime 119 to 112 without Anthony Davis and Alex Caruso on the lineup. Not the best outing for the Lakers in this game but Lebron led the team in the end to victory. Easily putting up his third triple double this season and coming up with big buckets. Markieff Morris got the start instead of Davis but was outperformed from Kuzma, Mathews and THT from the bench. The defense was sloppy but they were able to put it together in the last minutes of the fourth quarter and overtime to progress their winning streak to 5 games, the most this season.

Lebron James had 28, 14 and 12, Schroder 19 points, 7 and 5. Harrell 21 and 8, Kuzma hustles his way into another double double off the bench with 11 points and 10 rebounds.  Matthews finished with 16 points.
