We know Joseph was a carpenter and a descendant of King David, but what else do we know about him?

One of the most wonderful things about Christmas music is the reminder at this time of year of heavenly choirs appearing to shepherds watching their flocks, and of angels singing peace on earth, good will toward men.

When we are joyful, let us remember the service of Christ, seek out those who may be hurting, work to understand them, and lift up the hands that hang down this Christmas season.

My favorite thing about A Christmas Carol is the reminder that we can choose to change. We are each made up in part by our experiences, but sometimes we allow a painful or difficult past to define us.

I love the decorations and joys that come at Christmas time. I love how these things remind me of Christ, and how they can help us make him the focus of the season.

It is always better to be responsible than to be right. Surrendering blame is also surrendering control. Let’s instead choose to take control of our lives.

There is power in accepting responsibility. As we accept the consequences of our actions, we will be prepared to make better choices and constantly improve.

If we truly love our brother, we will serve him. We will live our lives with love for the Savior, showing by our actions that we obey God’s laws, inviting others to come and share in the joy.

A temple of God is the most sacred place on earth. Each temple is engraved with the phrases, “Holiness to the Lord,” and “The House of the Lord” near its entrance. We need the ongoing strengthening and tutoring that comes in the temple.

It is through the strait and narrow path that we find success in any area. In a spiritual sense, it’s how we find our way back home.
