Promise Abandoning Pressure (Hebrews 11:23–31). Are we willing trade in God’s promises for the fleeting sinful pleasures? Moses’ parents traded in safety for an infant promise. Hyphenated Holy Name (Genesis 17:1–12a, 15–16). As God calls Abram to walk faithfully with Him, God gives a  promised relationship to Abram. As such they bound to one another so that Abram gains the identity of God. So too as Christ is circumcised, he is bound to us as God’s promise. (see Luke 2:21)
