Today's Promise: Hebrews 4:16
Today, you received an invitation. Jesus delivered it, and it requests your presence before the King of Glory.
This promise invites you to come before God with confidence. Where many come to God with fear and trembling, you can go boldly into His presence.
The word "confidence" here means the ability to speak freely. You can come before God and speak freely about the problems, hurts, and challenges you face.
You come to God at the throne of grace, not the throne of judgment. There is no fear of condemnation, only the confidence that you will find mercy and help.
Today's Promise: Galatians 5:22-23
There is no doubt we could all use a little more peace, patience, joy, and love. Who doesn't want more kindness and self-control?
As we live filled and empowered by the Holy Spirit, God promises these qualities will become evident in our lives. They are the natural result of a life controlled by the Holy Spirit.
God wants each of these spiritual fruit to be growing in your life. As you allow the Holy Spirit to fill you and walk in submission to Him, you have the promise that the fruit of the Spirit are growing in your life. God wants each of these spiritual fruit to be growing in your life. As you allow the Holy Spirit to fill you and walk in submission to Him, you have the promise that the fruit of the Spirit are growing in your life.
Today's Promise: Colossians 3:16
Paul encourages us to let the word of Christ richly dwell in us.
How do you allow the word of Christ to dwell in you? The word "dwell" means to take up residence. Letting the word of Christ dwell in you is allowing God's word to become such a part of your heart and mind that it is entirely at home in you.
You allow the word of Christ to dwell in you by living in obedience to His word.
As the Word of Christ dwells in you richly, you will develop a new level of wisdom in everything you do.
Today's Promise: Romans 8:1
Shame, guilt, and condemnation seem to go hand in hand when it comes to religion. Religious people are often the most beaten down and guilt-ridden people around. Religion loves to make you feel ashamed, guilty, and worthless.
There is no shame or condemnation for the followers of Christ. All your shame, guilt, and self-reproach disappeared when you made Jesus your Savior and Lord.
In Christ, you stand before God clean and pure.
Never allow the condemnation of religion to overshadow the forgiveness you have found in Christ.
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.
Here are the promises we covered this week.
Galatians 6:9 – Don't Lose Heart in Doing Good.
Psalm 1:2-3 – Planted by Streams of Living Water.
2 Corinthians 5:7 – You Walk by Faith.
Romans 6:6-7 – Set Free from the Slavery of Sin.
2 Corinthians 12:9 – God's Grace is Enough.
Today's Promise: 2 Corinthians 12:9
The Apostle Paul was in a particularly difficult time in his life. He had prayed and prayed for God to remove a problem or weakness he experienced.
God's grace in your life strengthens and empowers you.
We pray for God to remove or resolve the problems we face. Sometimes God's answer is not to remove the problem but to give you His strength and power to go through the situation.
God says His power, combined with your weakness, is the perfect formula for His glory.
Whatever you are facing today, God's grace is enough.
Today's Promise: Romans 6:6-7
You are no longer a slave to sin. When Jesus died on the cross, He not only paid the penalty for your sin but broke the power sin has over you. You are free from the chains of sin because Christ has set you free.
Satan has no power over you. His kingdom is defeated. When Satan brings temptation your way, you have victory over it.
You will still be tempted, but because of Christ's work in you, you have power over every temptation.
You are no longer a slave to sin. Live in the freedom Christ has provided.
Today's Promise: 2 Corinthians 5:7
As a growing Christian, you walk by faith. You focus on the eternal unseen world, not the temporal, seen world.
Walking by faith is walking in the will and direction of the Lord. You live in obedience to God's Word and the promptings of the Holy Spirit.
The evidence of living by faith is your prayer life.
You don't live like the rest of the world because you know it's not about what you can see but about your faith in Christ that matters.
Today's Promise: Psalm 1:2-3
When you make the Word of God a priority in your life, you become like a tree planted by a stream of never-ending water.
In the Bible, water symbolizes two things. First, it was a picture of the Holy Spirit, who, like water, refreshes, restores, and empowers life.
Second, water was a symbol of cleansing. The Word of God cleanses your heart.
As you plant your life in the Word of God, the Holy Spirit will fill you with His refreshing living water.
Today's Promise: Galatians 6:9
Sometimes, the road gets rough, and you feel like giving up. Today's promise gives you the courage not to grow weary in doing God's will.
There is a universal law of life that says, whatever you plant, you reap. When it comes to the Kingdom of God, when you plant obedience and good works, you receive a harvest of blessings.
The harvest comes to those who faithfully plant God's seed every day. Don't stop doing what is right. If you keep sowing the right seed, the harvest will come.
