Today's Promise: Proverbs 15:8
Did you know God delights in your prayers? He is excited for you to come into His presence.
So many Christians are reluctant to come to God in prayer. They feel unworthy to lift their voice and may even think, "Surely God has more to do with His time than to listen to my prayers."
They don't realize that God actually delights in their prayer. Did you know that God loves it when you spend time with Him in prayer?
When you pray, God listens. He not only listens, but he is delighted to hear your prayers.
God delights in hearing you today. He wants you to come before Him bringing your needs, prayers, and concerns.
Today's Promise: Hebrews 10:17
We all experience guilt; guilt can be a positive thing. The Holy Spirit can use guilt to bring about conviction and repentance from your sins.
God intentionally chooses to forget your forgiven sin. It doesn't matter if your past was good or bad when your sin was forgiven; God forgot it.
You don't have to live in guilt because God has forgiven your sin. He not only forgives your sin but forgets it.
Your sin has been forgiven and forgotten through your faith and the blood of Jesus Christ.
Today's Promise: James 5:16
Prayer is a powerful weapon. When you pray, you connect with God and release the power of heaven into any situation. Through prayer, people have been saved, healed, and transformed.
You may be thinking that only special and mature Christians can pray effectively. You don't have to have a special anointing or be a preacher to pray with power.
When you pray, things happen. God gets involved in the situation and begins working in the situation.
Prayer releases heavenly forces to battle against the work of Satan in a situation.
Today's Promise: 1 John 2:1
When you became a Christian, Jesus forgave your sin and gave you His rightness before God.
Although you may try to live a life of holiness and obedience, there are times when you fall into sin. Instead of feeling guilty and condemned for what you have done, remember Jesus is on your side. He stands between you and God the Father, and His blood forgives your sin.
Jesus stands between you and God. Instead of God seeing your sin, He sees the righteousness of Jesus in you.
Today's Promise: John 14:3
One of the greatest promises of scripture is the return of Christ. Jesus promised there would come a time when He would return for His followers. Since the day Jesus ascended into heaven, Christians have been looking forward to the return of Christ.
Jesus said He was preparing a place for each one of us. As His follower, your dwelling place for all eternity is being perfectly designed just for you.
We don't know the time, day, or even the year of His return. Our responsibility is simply to be ready.
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review this week's promises so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.
Here are the promises we covered this week.
Proverbs 2:6-7 – The Lord Gives Wisdom.
2 Corinthians 12:10 – In My Weakness, God is Strong.
Romans 15:13 – God's Promises Bring Hope.
Ephesians 3:19 – God's Love is Beyond Imagination.
2 Corinthians 5:18 - Jesus Reconciles You to God.
Today's Promise: 2 Corinthians 5:18
God uses the word "reconcile" in this promise. It is not a word we use very often. It means to bring together or to change thoroughly.
It's the picture of two enemies becoming friends.
God has reconciled us to Him. Through Jesus Christ, although we were once enemies, we are now friends of God.
Since you are a new creature and have the righteousness of Christ in you, God calls you to a ministry of reconciliation. You are to help your friends become reconciled to God.
Today's Promise: Ephesians 3:19
This promise is the third part of a prayer Paul made for the church of Ephesus. We are claiming it for ourselves today.
God wants you to know the full love of Christ. He wants more for you than a head knowledge of His love. He wants you to experience the love of Christ that is beyond your ability to comprehend, a love that goes beyond understanding.
As Warren Wiersbe said, "As a Christian, you never have to worry about inadequate spiritual resources for day-to-day living."
The more you grab ahold of God's love, the more you find the abundance of God's presence flowing through your life.
Today's Promise: Romans 15:13
This promise is a prayer for me and you. Hope begins with God and only comes from God. Before you came to Christ, you had no hope.
When you came to Christ, Jesus filled you with hope. Now you have hope for the future, hope for eternity, and hope in God's help for day-to-day living.
Biblical Hope is not just emotional well-wishing. Biblical hope is the confidence that God will fulfill what He has promised.
Joy and peace come from the hope you have in Christ.
Today's Promise: 2 Corinthians 12:10
As is often the case, the principles of the Kingdom of God run contrary to our thinking. Who would ever say, "I am content with weakness." We brag about our strengths.
God loves using weak and flawed people.
We expect great, important people to do big things. No one is surprised when a good-looking, articulate, well-educated person succeeds. When God uses weak people to do great things, there is no question about who gets the glory.
Your weakness will not keep God from using you.
