Today’s Promise: 1 Corinthians 3:16

You are a temple of God.

In the Old Testament, God dwelt in the temple at Jerusalem. The temple was an icon of God’s presence.

When Jesus left, He promised to send the Holy Spirit to dwell in those who followed Him. God’s presence would move from the temple to the hearts of Christians.

As His temple, you are a house of worship. Every area of your life should bring glory and honor to Christ.

Today’s promise: Psalm 119:73

Something special separates you from the rest of the animal kingdom. Sure, you share much of the same genetic material, but this one distinction makes you unique. You were fashioned by God’s hand.

The world would have you believe you are simply an accidental combination of two DNA strands. They would say your life is nothing more than a genetic accident. God’s word tells a completely different story.

Today you can celebrate who you are and how you look because God created and fashioned you. You are His handiwork.

Today’s promise: Psalm 23:1

This psalm describes what it’s like to have God watch over and care for you.

The God you serve is the great Lord and creator of the universe. There is no one like Him.

This great creator God is your shepherd. He takes personally cares and watches over you. The shepherd knows all his sheep by name and personally attends to their needs.

Jesus called Himself the good shepherd. As the good shepherd, right now, He is caring for you. He knows where you are, what you worry about, and your deepest needs.

Today's Promise: Matthew 6:33

Jesus turned our thinking upside down when He promised that everything will be given to us when we make the kingdom of God our priority. We think if I can get everything together, then I can find fulfillment. Jesus says, make the Kingdom of God the number one thing in your life, and fulfillment and satisfaction will follow.

Can it really be that simple? Could this one promise really be the secret to finding out God's will?

As you learn to live and follow the kingdom of God, you find everything else is added to you.

Today's Promise: 2 Corinthians 5:1

If you looked in the mirror this morning, you probably noticed you are getting older.

Try as you may, your body is doomed. No matter how many gym memberships or supplements you take, the human race's mortality rate is 100%.

The good news is that though your body will wear out and die for the Christian, a new and eternal body will replace it.

You can rejoice today because even though your earthly body is fading away, you have a new and eternal body waiting for you when you die.

Today's promise: Matthew 5:14

Jesus declared that He was the light of the Lord. You are now that light. You bring the light of Christ into every situation of life.

Jesus brought light into a world filled with darkness. Sin had plunged the world into a dark night of despair and hopelessness, but Jesus came as the shining light of hope, salvation, and freedom.

Jesus took things to the next level when He declared that you are the light. He was the light of the world; now, you are the light of the world.

You are the light. Shine your light!

Today's Promise: Psalm 27:5

The secret to King David's public confidence was his private walk with God. He understood that God was protecting and keeping Him.

When you walk in the presence of the Lord, you walk in His protection and provision. God hides you away so that no enemy can reach you.

When your "day of trouble" comes, know that God will be your hiding place. If you are going through a difficult time today, spend some extra time in worship and prayer.

Enter into His presence and know that He is with you and will safely hide you away.

Today's Promise: Isaiah 54:17

Every day you are under attack. Every morning Satan and his forces of darkness rise against you and your family. Satan will come against you with every weapon he can think of, and He will do everything He can to take you down spiritually.

This promise declares that Satan's attacks are powerless before you. All his weapons are useless because the Lord Jesus protects you. You have no fear of Satan because God is standing between you and the enemy. No accusation can wound you because the blood of Jesus has removed all your shame.
