Following a drop in Treasury bond yields, Apple shares reached new highs on Wednesday.

JPMorgan raised its price target on Apple by $5 to $170.00 per share, with an overweight rating on the tech giant. Another good news is Apple's rival Samsung Electronics said that its profits in the June quarter are expected to increase by 53% over the same period last year. Apple reported that iPhone revenue increased by 65 percent year on year to $47.94 billion, far exceeding the $41.7 billion Street forecast. Apple reported that Greater China revenue increased 88 percent from a year ago's pandemic low to $17.728 billion.

According to PC Gamer, the latest June Steam Hardware Survey shows Intel's share increasing by 1.72 percent while AMD's share decreases by the same amount.

It has meant that Intel has maintained its lead – in January, Intel had a market share of 66.51 percent, compared to AMD's 33.49 percent.

However, Intel now accounts for 71.58 percent, a 5 percent increase, and this is all at the expense of AMD, which has now dropped below 5 percent once more.

AMD shares dropped 4.36% while Intel shares mainly kept flat (-0.15%) as of 12:26AM PST on Wednesday.

Amazon's stock rose 4.7 percent on July 6 to close at $3,675.74, and continue to gain about 0.7% on July 7.

The US Department of Defense (DOD) has cancelled a $10 billion cloud contract with Microsoft that the two companies had been battling over for the past 20 months. According to Reuters, the US government will solicit bids for a new cloud-computing contract from a variety of companies, including Amazon and Microsoft.

On Tuesday, Tesla stock fell 2.8 percent.

There are two bad news about Tesla. The company's new Model S Plaid car caught fire when it is being driven. A family has filed a lawsuit against Tesla for its Autopilot driver-assistance software after a family member died in a crash. This isn't the first time a safety issue has weighed on Tesla stock.

Didi plunged after a security review by China's internet regulator.

China's State Council issued a broad warning to the country's largest corporations, promising to tighten oversight of data security and overseas listings. The council demanded App stores to remove Didi for the moment. The move comes after China's internet regulator launched a security review last week. Didi's American depositary shares fell nearly 20% to $12.49, wiping out approximately $15 billion in market value.

Other Chinese companies list in USA also plunged on Tuesday. Alibaba fell 2.82%, and Tecent fell 3.45%.

Apple rose before IPhone 13 launches.

Apple shares have lagged the market so far this year, rising only 6% year to date as of the last Friday. However, the stock is rising on Tuesday as investors anticipate the release of the iPhone 13 in the fall. In recent trading, Apple was up 1.47 percent to $142.02. J.P. Morgan analyst reiterated his Overweight rating on Apple (ticker: AAPL) shares and raised his target price to $170 from $165.

According to The Washington Post, the Defense Department announced Tuesday that the Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure cloud contract

, which was awarded to Microsoft almost two years ago, is being canceled.

Amazon had been contesting the contract, claiming that the process that resulted in it being awarded to Microsoft was influenced by former President Donald Trump's use of "improper pressure".

Amazon's shares rose 4.69% and Microsoft's shares kept flat today.

Nikkei Asia reported on Friday that Apple Inc and Intel Corp  will be the first to adopt Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co's  next-generation chip production technology before its deployment, possibly next year.

According to the report, Apple and Intel are testing their chip designs with TSMC's 3-nanometer production technology, citing several sources briefed on the matter. According to Nikkei Asia, commercial production of such chips is expected to begin in the second half of next year.
