If you haven't heard it today, let me be the first to say that you are AWESOME!  

I know this about you.  You don't have to tell me how awesome you are, I know it.  

How often in life do you meet people that don't know how awesome you are?  When that happens are you tempted to fill them in on your background, skill set, successes and even what you've learned about your failures...in other words...your awesomeness?

Don't fall for this trap. Be self-confident in your abilities and let your awesomeness shine through by your actions.

From my experience volunteering for the public education system, I've noticed three things: 

1) Elementary students are joyful. They are smiling, eager to hear whatever is being said.

These are my observations.  In today's 4 AM Daily Wake Up podcast, I share with you some feedback received by a teacher in one of the classrooms I spoke at regarding students paying attention.  A must listen. 

Lent is a time for our family to come together in practicing self-discipline. For this year's Lent we are giving up 'digital.'  What that means is no shows, or phones. The kids will be upset for the first couple of days and then it sinks in that they can overcome their desire to be 'plugged in.'  Every Saturday sundown to Sunday sundown we take a break from Lent.  

It's been a great time for our family to bond together. 

Ever hear the words, 'nothing personal?'  If so, you haven't gone deep enough in your relationship with who you are working with.  If you had it would have absolutely been personal. 

Ever notice the update notice on your applications?  The developers of the app had a vision in mind of making something awesome. On the way to awesome, bugs are sometimes missed and you need to give the app an update.  Sounds simple right? Sometimes we need to give ourselves an update on the way to awesomeness.  There is no shame, it's part of the process to becoming great. 

You got it - now GO GET IT! 

The book I'm currently listening to (The Coaching Habit), the author highlights how coaching in a business setting is lacking because managers often times don't know how to start coaching their staff.

Listen as I share a tip on getting started in coaching members of your team. 

All of us have visions of the future that may not reflect where we are today.  Take the example of the prologue in Henry V that I read in modern english and share your future with others in that manner. 

Always working - especially on the weekend - and was coached by my coach. It was humbling and I was defensive at first then quickly realized my coach was right. Aren't they always? :)
