The Dance Of Life Podcast with Tudor Alexander

Most Christians today believe that an individual will walk into a rebuilt Jewish 3rd temple and proclaim himself to be God. They also believe that there will be a tribulation lasting 7 years, and some believe that Christ will secretly come to rapture the Church before such an event. But what are the origins of these beliefs?

History tells us that dispensationalism was started by a man named John Nelson Darby in the late 1800's, meaning that for most of the last 2,000 years these views were not considered.

History also tells us that the Catholic Church created the Counter Reformation in the 1500's, and courtesy of influential figures like Francisco Ribera, Manuel Lacunza and other Jesuits, a new way to interpret end times events more literally and physically emerged. This is called "futurism" and it is the greater umbrella which dispensationalism is part of.

But what does the bible have to say about these things? And more importantly, what does it mean for us if we are ignorant of the truth? Today you will learn why dispensationalism is not only wrong, but contrary to the gospel and deceptive.

One core end times belief of Seventh Day Adventism is that of something called the "Investigative Judgment." This is the teaching that God has been investigating the Church since 1844 and will issue a final verdict on people's status at His return. The belief also asserts certain specific things about Satan, that he will be left to wander a desolate Earth for 1,000 literal years and that, ultimately, all the sins of the world are transferred to him as the scapegoat.

These and other beliefs were largely put together by Adventism's prophet, Ellen G White. But are these teachings in alignment with the gospel? And was Ellen G White truly a prophet? Today we will examine this teaching and see 6 powerful reasons why Seventh Day Adventists are wrong about the Investigative Judgment and wrong about Ellen White.

Both the books of Daniel and Revelation paint vivid pictures of specific time-related prophecies so that God's people can be warned and prepared. The most famous of these time prophecies is the "1260 day" prophecy, which is actually a collection of various visions surrounding many things like the antichrist power and what believers will do and experience during this time. But are these prophecies to be interpreted literally? Or is there a deeper meaning to them and, if so, are they fulfilled in history? How do we know what the truth is and how do we discern what John and Daniel were trying to warn us about? Today we will examine these and other pressing questions as we break down all of the time prophecies in both of these books in an easy, simple and digestible way.

The 7 trumpets of Revelation describe major judgments that God passes upon the world. But are these judgments something yet to happen, or do they reveal that bible prophecy has actually been happening throughout history? And if so, what does it say for our own position in the scheme of biblical events? Today we will look at how the 7 trumpets are fulfilled in history and why they confirm the timeline we saw in the 7 churches and the 7 seals.

The 7 seals of Revelation describe a series of dramatic events that will happen before the return of Christ. But what do these events represent and when will they happen? Or have they already occurred? Today we will examine the 7 seals closely and see the profound truth they have to reveal of our own position in the unfolding of bible prophecy.
