It's family traditions, ropa vieja, luchadors, math, and lightning-powered cowboys galore in this episode of The Danville Discussion, as your host Caleb delves into Episode 2 of Hamster & Gretel!

"Recipe for Disaster": It's family dinner night, and when the Grant-Gomez family's ropa vieja is accidentally burned, Hamster and Gretel (and Kevin) must find a way to set things right, all while dealing with a luchador-themed villain!

"Math Punch": Reluctant to do math, Gretel (along with Hamster) flies to downtown when Rodney Thunderpants, a cowboy supervillain with lightning powers, threatens to wipe out smartphones and tablets across the city. But when Kevin and Rodney are about to fall off a cliff on a runaway train, Gretel learns that it will take math to save the day.

"Gitchee-gitchee-goo" means that I love you! We're getting the show on with this episode of The Danville Discussion, as your host Caleb watches as Phineas and Ferb go on a mummy hunt, and then become one-hit wonder pop stars!

"Are You My Mummy?": When Phineas and Ferb see a mummy movie at the theater, they are inspired to look for a mummy, but they must avoid some booby-traps along the way, and they even stumble into a mummified Candace trying to bust the boys!

"Flop Starz": A singing competition is held at the mall in Danville, and Candace participates, only to find out that her brothers Phineas and Ferb are part of it too, complete with the Fireside Girls as the Ferbettes, plus their own hit single!

The third and newest main installment of the Dwampyverse is off to a decent start, but the pacing is out of control with this pilot episode... This sounds like a job for your host Caleb to go through the first episode of Hamster & Gretel, which involves aliens who give superpowers, evildoers with exclamation points, rogue robots, a citywide blackout, a childhood oak tree, and a meteor that heads toward Earth!
Segments that are talked about include:
"Empower Failure": Aliens turn brother and sister Gretel and Kevin Grant-Gomez into superheroes, but Kevin's powers end up in Hamster instead. Now that Kevin is stuck being "superhero adjacent", he must adjust to being our heroes' support as they stop a new villain with a diabolical master plan.

"Oakey Dokey": While at a family picnic, Gretel meets her best friend Bailey at their favorite tree named Oakey. But when a meteor is set on a collision course, Gretel and Kevin disagree on how to stop it from destroying the city.
