The Dapper Dames

Let's dive into the Judging Category Description book, or JCDB! We take a first look at the overall vocal skills that are expected from Sweet Adelines. We also continue with our competitor profiles, while only getting slightly distracted by Kim's unending fangirling and some stories from Vegas.

What a week of barbershop! We go over some highlights of the men's international quartet and chorus competitions, and continue with our profiles of Sweet Adelines competitors going to St. Louis.

Welcome to our first competitor profile episode! Over the next 15 weeks to St. Louis, we'll be giving you a little background on all chorus, quartet, and Harmony Classic competitors that will be crossing the stage this October. Also, prepare for next episode, when we start going through the Judging Category Description book...beginning with the Sound category.

Choosing a new song for your quartet? We are, too! Join our discussion about some valuable information from Kim Vaughn, a comparison of chorus qualifying techniques, and, as usual, making fun of Kim's nerdy tendencies.

Now that regional season is over, what do you do to close out the experience? We chat about scoresheets, feedback, and watching yourself on video. Now it is the season for summer and fall educational events. Tell us about yours! Also featured, the Sparkle Squad of Harborlites...don't worry, we explain it.

Another example of the tiny world of barbershop, along with the score recaps of the final two regional weekends. Join us in the coming weeks and months for competitor recaps of everyone crossing the stage in St. Louis 2018.

We have a special guest co-host this week while Janel is on vacation! Join us for a recap of regions 12, 26, and 35, as well as random tangents about brussel sprouts and cupcakes as a vehicle for understanding barbershop!

This week we recap regions 2, 5, and the ever-growing 13. Also, we chat about our experience learning new choreography from Erin Howden!

Another fun weekend of regional contests, including our own! Join us as we revisit scores and some of our weekend highlights from competing in the quartet and chorus contest in Region 21.

What a weekend! Five different regionals were held with some record breaking scores and amazing open division performances.
