For the most part, we are protected from death on a daily basis.There are people that work in certain careers that deal with it on a consistent basis, but for the average Joe…it really doesn’t come up that often.

Because of that, there is a mystique that surrounds death for most people.It is the reason we rubber neck at collisions…or watch daredevil stunts.

It isn’t something we want to witness, but there is a dark part inside us all that is curious.

And while we are all shielded from the constant death that is all around us, every once in awhile, one or two sneak through…and sometimes…they are broadcast out for the world to watch.

Music can influence us in many ways, and there have even been studies that have looked at it’s healing properties.

But it can also be used to create community and bonding.

Whether or not the following implementation of music can be construed as nefarious is up to you.

It was a rough week here in Ottawa, Ontario Canada.A total of 6 tornadoes over the course of 45 minutes last Friday shut down the city for several days.Which meant, I was unable to finish up an episode for a Monday release.

So, this minisode is a bit of an apology for that.Barring any act of god, I can confirm that the regular release schedule will pick up this Monday.

Some people are incredibly lucky in life.Everything just seems to fall into place for them, and it all just goes the right way…every time.Sometimes, it also seems the good fortune spreads to everyone around them.

But on the flipside, the same can be said!

There are some people that cannot seem to escape their own bad luck.And like good luck, bad luck seems to spread out from these people too.And every once in awhile, the conversation of curses comes up.

same short comings.

They breath…eat…sleep…and well…you know the rest.

But they can also screw up big time.

And with the pressures of big money contracts…constant

public opinion…and all the rest…

Those screw ups generally tend to be epic.

Every genre of music has an origin story.

The blues was born out of “call and response” style songs during slavery…

The blues and ragtime came together to form jazz…

And of course, we all know the famous quote by Muddy Waters – “The Blues had a baby and they called it rock and roll.”

So, if this is all true, what is the “birds and the bees” story for porn music?

It is a bit more convoluted than you might think, and it involves the Muppets and Sesame Street!

 

During the countless hours that I spend researching my podcast, I sometimes come across really cool or weird stories that just don’t seem to fit anywhere.

So, with that in mind, I came up with this episode.
