There are still many mysteries out there that cannot yet be explained.

The explanations may simply be that our technology hasn’t advanced enough to do so, or perhaps certain anomalies are destined to elude us forever.

Is it simply inadequate science?

Or are there otherworldly explanations for some of these “Bumps in the Night”?

Music is a powerful medium, so much so, that it can influence our moods and alter us.

It can be used to nurture, heal and it would seem, harm.

For this episode, we are looking at audible sound…being used as a weapon.

So, I guess that leaves us with the 20HZ – 20KHZ spectrum.

And if you are curious…there are instances of weaponized sound outside of that range…but that is a whole other can of worms…we will discuss that at a later date.

Sure…there are a lot of names in contention for this title…

But for the sake of this episode, we are going to look at musicians that actually PLAYED rock music.

While that does narrow down the list…there are still way too many names to definitively make the call.

Fats Domino, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Goree Carter, Bo Diddley, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis…I could go on…

So we need another measurement…

How about this…

Since Rock and Roll is all about rebellion and good ol’ fashioned badassery….

I think we have a winner!

I had written this episode, and it was sitting in queue, but after we lost Anthony Bourdain and Kate Spade this week, it seemed timely.

Two people that seemed to have it all, and were living lives that were envied by millions…when they decided to shuffle off this earth early.

So it brings up the age old questions of why?

Is there some link between creative genius and mental illness?
