I recently took a kinesiology class, and my instructor mentioned something about how our body was meant to resist gravity and grow from it as a result. We were made for challenges and will, one way or the other, thrive from it.
Whenever you come into a new project or work with a new client, you need to let go of the past results. Yes, they will help you hone your fundamental skills, but it requires a from-scratch approach to optimize your results. Trust me. I learned this the hard way when I lost clients in the past for repeating a content writing style.
I've taken on the role a handful of times. Some were good teams, some were not-so-good teams, and then there were the great ones. But regardless of the teams, as a leader, you carry the responsibility to strive to get others on the same page, reach their potential, and of course, truly deserve the outcome we get. I've had the privilege to work with my current capstone project team, and it is a lot on the line, but I know we'll do great.
