We’re now about a year into the pandemic here; with lockdowns, isolation and a lack of normal human contact, many of us are struggling with mental health issues more than we ever have before. Tonight’s guest is someone who can shed a little light onto the struggles that we may be facing. I’m joined by Mel Mur, a therapist with a focus on marriage, family and children’s therapy at Parks Therapy, TV host, and keynote speaker. Tonight we’ll be discussing the current state of our mental health, what to look out for and tips for supporting those around you who are currently struggling. Thank you for joining us tonight, Mel.
This felt like such a timely topic to chat about tonight; last week we had Bell Let’s Talk Day, an annual event that helps to shed a little light on mental health and the stigma attached to it. Things like this help to bring more awareness and openness around the topic, but we definitely need to do more work at making this conversation last more than a day. What do you think we can do to keep the conversation going and continue to make progress?
