Later, AARP is sponsoring a talk about accessory dwelling units, and the guest speaker, Portland, Oregon-based Eli Sepvak, joins Dave to talk about how such units might help with Vermont’s shortage of affordable housing.

Dave opens Monday’s show with a conversation with Peter Galbraith, Vermont-based businessman and former diplomat with extensive knowledge of the Kurds abandoned in northern Syria last week by President Trump. Pam Wadman of the Vermont Health Department talks with Dave about new warnings over a chemical in many paint thinners. Later, David Mears of the Audubon Society talks with Dave about threats to birds from climate change.

Friday’s Dave Gram show begins with a conversation with Sherri Goodman, senior fellow at the Wilson Center and former Pentagon official, about climate change and national security. Comedian Rusty DeWees then joins Dave to preview his upcoming Tiny Town Hall Tour. Later, Dave welcomes two hemp growers to talk about their harvest and the rapid growth of the hemp industry in Vermont.

Secretary of State Jim Condos and Montpelier City Clerk John Odom start Thursday’s Dave Gram Show with an update on election security. Falko Schilling If the American Civil Liberties Union stops in to talk about that group’s ideas for reducing Vermont’s prison population. Later, in our weekly “Seeds to Society” segment, two University of Vermont professors join Dave to talk about moose genetics and wildlife management.

Friday’s Dave Gram Show focuses it’s first hour on the acknowledgement by Vermont officials won’t meet the goal set out in state law for a 50 percent reduction in greenhouse emissions from 1990 levels by 2028. Guests include environmental writer Elizabeth Gribkoff of VTDigger.org, Deouty Natural Resources Secretary Peter Walke and Johanna Miller of the Vermont Natural Resources Council.
