The Dave Weekly

The Dave Weekly is going A-List... Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Edgar Wright, Charlie Day and Russell Howard. Not wanting to blow our own trumpet, but we're pretty proud of this one. It'll probably be downhill for the series from here but what a way to start. You are welcome.

Yes, it's the third series of our award-winning comedy podcast, starting Thursday 18th July. It's bigger, stronger, faster, sexier and not afraid to take it's shirt off in the park. To kick off with a bang, we've got superstar stand-up Russell Howard, comedy icons Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, back on the big screen with The World's End, plus US comedian Charlie Day, the star of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Pacific Rim. Hit that subscribe button, punk.

Comedy fans rejoice! Dave has another podcast for you to enjoy. Alex Horne will be joined by some great comedians to discuss the best and worst news stories from the week.

With Alexander Armstrong being such a great guy and one of the wittiest men on TV we thought we'd make a BIG deal out of getting him on the show. We also present the Dave's One Night Stand Award for best comedy venue in the UK... But you'll have to listen to find out who won. How's that for a cliff hanger?

Oh how we've laughed. Leicester really is a darn funny place to stay, especially during a comedy festival. This week we have three fine comedians of all ages and styles. Paul Foot kills time before catching a train, Tom Rosenthal talks off a hangover and Tony Law is live from a karaoke bar in London. Yes London. But he was up in Leicester we just happened to miss him when he was there.

We caught up with Alan Davies backstage before his Leicester gig to talk about his latest tour before heading over to Dave's Curry house for the weirdest and most hilarious blind date ever.

The first night proper of Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival and we were in the thick of things. Back stage with the one line maestro Milton Jones, post gig chatting with the WitTank trio and the most surreal discussion we've ever had with Rich Fulcher. It's all in there. Oh yeah!

The Dave Weekly podcast team are heading up to Leicester for 16 days of hilarity for Dave's Leicester Comedy Festival. To kick it all off we'll be talking to Dave Spikey, Pat Cahill, Joel Dommett and Angela Barnes. It has funny written all over it.

Over the series we've had some very tough decisions about what goes into each episode and what ends up on the cutting room floor. Inevitably we make some very obvious mistakes. Here are just a few that should have made the grade. Apologies.

A podcast full to the brim of comedy talent: David O'Doherty, Angelos Epithemiou, Tim Key, Alex Horne, Nick Helm, Peacock & Gamble, Rhys Darby, Tim & Eric, Rob Beckett and Last but not least Ronna & Beverley.
