Taylor has worked with businesses tweaking and improving their PPC, in addition to their listings. In this podcast, live periscope interview, you'll learn a ton!

    Strategies discussed in this podcast:

    * Amazon Private Label PPC
    * Amazon PPC Strategies
    * Default Bid suggestions
    * Amazon PPC Tools discussion
    * Amazon search term reports & validating results
    * Title optimization
    * 5 things you need to do with the search term reports
    * Singular vs plural in search terms
    * 5000 characters strategies
    * Manual, broad, and phrase strategies - the triple trifecta
    * Bleeding keywords to successful keywords

    Questions answered:

    * How to fill up all 5000 keywords in Amazon search backend?
    * How to effectively manage your ppc campaigns?
    * How to sell more products on Amazon?
    * How to deal with lawsuits on Amazon?
    * How to improve keyword relevancy?
    * How to do auto campaigns in Amazon?
    * HOW to use search term reports on Amazon, and how to manage them effectively in Amazon?

    For calculating Break even ACOS %

    (Average per unit cost of selling on amazon commission ) + (Average per unit cost of amazon fulfillment ) + ( cost per unit of manufacturing the product ) + ( cost per unit to prep , and ship to FBA ) ÷ selling price of the product on amazon X 100

    So in column V cell 1 type in “Total Profit” then in the box below that ( cell V2 ) you want to copy and paste this formula into it =P2-K2-(R2+S2)*12.84 this essentially just means: Total Sales - Total spend - ( Same SKU units + Other SKU Units ) * Total product Expenses per unit … And obviously you want to change 12.84 to whatever your total product expenses are per unit then hit “Enter” and you’ll see the total profit on that given keyword… To apply this to all keywords just double click bottom right corner or cell V2 and your spread sheet should present the total profit for every search term.

    Copy and paste this formula into the second cell ( W2 ) =SUM(V2:V393)

    V2:V393 just means you're V2 being the first search term and V393 being the last in your search term report… so scroll down to the bottom of your search term report find out how many search terms your ranking for and replace 393 with that number > Then hit enter and you’ll see the total NET profit of your entire search term report !

  • AS 20: Amazon Greyhat Ranking Secret – Ranking with the Corporate Guys
    We are strategists. Amazon is a huge chess board. Our products are but pawns in this game. Then there are knights, rooks, and queens…those represent the big corporations, making 10s of millions of dollars. But in the game of chess, a small pawn can take out a queen the queen aka corporation is not being careful enough. And that’s our goal. We will steadily grow our profit margins, because in doing so it allows us to launch more products, increase our volume and distribution.

    So what does this all mean?

    Being a Prime member, has monumental, and game changing effects on the E-commerce model. For sellers, it’s awesome. Over the next few years, your business can only grow larger and larger with higher customer spending per user. This article pretty much states, the longer you are on Amazon as a prime member, the more addictive the buying process becomes. We have become reliant on Amazon for its quick delivery, high customer service, and ease of use. The downside is, it is the lifeline of our business. Can old retail stand against this type of “addictive” power, that the amazon eco-system has created. Amazon has strategically positioned its prime to be almost an essential part of American life. As more Americans jump on, and become loyal, we all earn more.

    Today’s Podcast, episode 20, is Amazon Greyhat Ranking Secret – How my competitor ranks with the corporate guys.

    Now I’m not recommending you do or do not do this, however I’ve witnessed my competitor do it and he’s churning out good numbers every month from each of his products, aka 50,000+ a month from a single product.

    And so I was curious, how’s this happening, his product isn’t far superior to mine. And so I looked deeper. And in fact, the greyhat secret I discovered is as follows. By the way this can get a bit confusing, so you may need to rewind and play a few times.

    What is greyhat you ask?

    Greyhat is the probably what you think it is. There’s white hat strategies, which we love, greyhat, which you proceed with caution, and blackhat, is what your doing something you probably should do in order to improve your rank.

    The greyhay secret is as follows. Some sellers on Amazon are adding E-books, to their Amazon Seller Listing in addition to their product. They will typically say, their listing + here’s a bonus your e-book.  Now sure that gives you added value. But the secret here lies within.

    Advanced greyhatters are using the e-book spot in the title, to do a combination of things. Lets’s say you have a product, and your #1 competitor’s company is called “Safe Prepping”. Now this major company called “Safe Prepping” ranks very well in top 10. As a small guy, the grey hat technique involves half of their brand in the ebook… meaning your e-book is called “Meal Prepping E-Book” and in another part of your title your product includes the word “Safe.”

    What David, I’m lost? So basically, what just happened was, my competitor used a corporate name which was a two part word brand, and they put it in spotty areas of their title, without saying the brand all at once. In fact the e-book, or chart pdf you can use, can assist in getting the harder, no so much used words to make sense in their title.
    When you add an e-book in your title, it not only provides extra value to customer, you can add an adjective, and even better, part of a corporate name, as the name of your e-book.

    In order to demonstrate how this works let’s I want to do a case study. , I will use an actual Amazon listing that I found so if you’re by a computer, you can reference what I’m talking about and listen along.

  • AS 19: Boost Amazon Sales By at least 10% with these Secrets
    It’s like Amazon has no bounds, it’s like they are a liquid, and they fill into a cup and take it all. Amazon may need to be careful PR wise. If they get ahead of themselves, they can present a situation of corporate greed. They’re ever so expanding vast of services, seems to want to be everywhere, for everyone. From delivery services, to all of ecommerce, to rocket ships, to international sea shipping, to household products, and smart devices… the question now is, WHERE ISN’T AMAZON. From this article, I believe Amazon has enabled Restaurant businesses in the same way it has enabled ecommerce. You can now own a restaurant business and not only serve a 5-20 mile max radius. Amazon brings convenience into RESTURANT MEALS as well as a distribution for resturants. Instead of owning “5-6 restaurants” its almost doesn’t make as much sense as it once did. You can own one restaurant, and prepare all the foods there that 6 -or 20 restaurants could do, for the entire city. Not only that, you could maintain higher quality, less employees, less training, and easier distribution from one point as a restaurant. Its’ a game changer. I’m guessing most restaurants don’t even see the end potential here yet. Restaurant foods by drones. DUH. In my option, if I was a restaurant owner, I would just be get a “clean” warehouse, and staff it with cooks, and distribute from there. Forget serving locals, dealing with waitresses, tips, etc. The real value is getting to the masses.

    Today’s topic is Boost Amazon Sales By at least 10% with these Secrets

    There are some common ones, and if you don’t know them I’ll quickly go over that.

    A listing will convert better if you separate your text into paragraphs, bullets, and combination of the too. You can use basic HTML, so that your description isn’t just a bunch of mumbo jumbo. Toward the end of the description, I always put something of the sort “Buy this Epic Pencil Now” aka the call to action at the end, to entice people to click buy. People tend to actually do buy, when you use action words, instead of just descriptive words.

    Another -okay- secret, is in order to rank for keywords in your backend, and for PPC, I’ve noticed it’s slightly easier if you put the PPC keywords you most like, in your title. Those, in my own opinion, have the most weight.

    Now, The real secret juice in this podcast - Amazon Image optimization – here’s where its gets fun. Here’s a secret, that I have not heard any podcast, any article write about. Image optimization. When I first started, my images would render on the Amazon page, go blurry, and then resolve to a nice clear image. I will call this the BLUR EFFECT. What I had initially done, was I uploaded very crisp, high quality, and large images. These images were 3000x3000, because most Amazon sellers had said “USE very high quality images…blab la bla.”
    The problem with this, is Amazon uses optimization tricks with images to load their pages first then the images. This blur effect only happens with very large images.

    The big secret here is if, you render all your images in a very lightweight form the blur effect goes away. No longer are visitors visiting your pages, hovering over your images, waiting for the blur effect to go away, and viewing your images. Your images instantly appear.

    Now, there is even more. If you’re a web developer, you know the importance of keeping the number of elements on a page as low as possible, because that decreases the entire page load for the end user. Less things for the end user to download = quicker page loads.

    So your goal should be, for every listing, is to optimize those images to be to decrease the. MB size of those .jpg images as much as possible to increase the page load speed. By increasing the page load speed, you increase the browser speed on images, tablets, pcs on Amazon for everyone around the world.
