We don't always know how dark boasting really is.  But there's another kind of Nebuchadnezzar we can be.

It's the Season Finale.

Yes, we are small.  Yes, we are seemingly insignificant.  But the Creator of the sun, the moon and the Grand Canyon looks upon US as the wonders of His world.  

We're not perfect people.  There's many things we wish we'd never done.  But as we learn, we discover there really is a way and a reason for who we used to be to be radically changed.

So often, our lives have been a poor attempt to imitate the man.  And yet, we are the living legacies to the leader of the band.  

"As some of our own poets have said..."

In a world like this, we will plunge into depths of hopelessness that will make us feel utterly deserted and alone.  But there is a God who knows us, who sees us and who is with us.

Jesus laments that it is extremely difficult for a rich person to enter into the kingdom of heaven.  So difficult, He says it's impossible.    

"Please, oh please, don't let Christianity get cancelled?  I wouldn't have it any other way!"  - Jesus

So often, God is not fascinated by what fascinates us.  That so much of what we call beautiful is hideous to God.  And so much of what is hideous to us is what God is enchanted by and calls beautiful.
