The David Lee Martin Show - Holy Ghost Encouragement For Christian Creatives

“But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7 KJV)

Despite our best western efforts to wriggle out of the implications of some of the things Jesus taught about money, there’s no getting away from an intrusive truth that barges into our culture of accumulation and achievement addiction...

The richest man or woman on earth is not the one with the most money!

Hope is an anchor, thrown and lodged in the presence of God. Through any storm below, our feeble life is held in place deep inside the eternal Presence.

Culture is a dirty bowl in which we swim, blind to the world outside the foggy walls.

You are in the business of becoming. God is making the man or woman you are called to be. From that foundation, your business will be built.

Original is overrated!

My passion and diamond subject is prayer and Christian Creativity, what’s yours?

In a hyper-active world how do we live like Christ? Is Jesus wearing Nike trainers and sprinting around the globe desperately building His brand, fearful that some other pretender will take His market share?

I think not.

The pace of grace is not breakneck. The only neck spoken of in relation to the way of Jesus is the one on which He longs to place an easy yoke.

Creating something from nothing is the speciality of our Creator. He speaks and things spring into existence. The same can be said of His people. Made in His image we are uniquely endowed with the gift of endless possibility!

The greatest deposit you can make in your own future is to elevate someone else’s account of themselves.
