It's natural to feel down every now and then - and let's face it, with the daily news being what it is, who wouldn't be feeling just a little bit blue at the moment? But when feeling a bit down in the dumps stretches on for longer than what's normal for you, how do you break yourself out of the funk - and start getting back to feeling more positive?

Setting personal boundaries is hard enough  - as in, learning how to say No, when in the past you've always said Yes, or being brave enough to disagree when you all along you've always agreed with people to 'keep the peace'. 

Enforcing personal boundaries is even more challenging. The key is to get comfortable feeling uncomfortable - especially when you can sense people aren't pleased with your decision. Often times, when we're afflicted with the 'disease to please', we'll give in and go back on what we said we'd do just to avoid conflict.
