The resurrection of Jesus Christ is far more than a historical event we commemorate once a year—it's a living reality that has fundamentally reoriented our entire world. This message takes us to Matthew 28, where we encounter the earth-shattering moment when heaven broke into our world. An angel descends with the appearance of lightning, rolling away the stone not to let Jesus out, but to let witnesses see the empty tomb. Those famous words echo through eternity: 'He is not here, for He has risen, as He said.' What makes this so powerful is understanding that we now live in a completely different world than before that third day. Death no longer has the final word. The resurrection isn't just a shift in perspective or a coping mechanism for grief—it's the actual defeat of death itself. We see this transformation in the women who came expecting to find a corpse but instead encountered the living Christ. They departed 'quickly' with fear and great joy, their entire purpose radically changed. Most beautifully, Jesus couldn't wait to meet them on the road, greeting them with 'Rejoice!' and allowing them to cling to His feet in worship. This is our invitation too—to cling to the risen Christ, to live in the reality that heaven has invaded earth, and to carry the message that changes everything. We're not just followers anymore; we're family, called 'brothers' by the resurrected King Himself.
