Another week in gaming comes to a close, and brings us back once again to sit down and talk video games. GTA6 finally gets an extended gameplay trailer announcement with Netflix and EA is owned by a country now. All this and more in the The DayOne Show Episode 326!
Fresh off the heels of our pretty successful Gamescom Fundraiser, Jon, Jesse and Aarsal return to talk about the weeks biggest games, news and more. To start off, we always talk about the games we’ve been playing – if Nick were here, he’d be waxing lyrical about Marvel Tōkon Fighting Souls, but as he’s out, you’ll have to make do with his extensive review.
Elsewhere, we’ve all been playing Gears of War: E-day’s multiplayer beta, and we’re feeling it’s pretty good, with the majority of our praise being thrown to it’s Horde Siege mode. Our brief jaunt into versus saw us perhaps be a little less positive now that the game is in the hands of the Gears Versus faithful, where to be honest, it’s likely to remain. Jon has been playing Big Walk and hopes to have a review for you all early next week, and Jesse has been playing this week’s big Game Pass addition – Beast of Reincarnation. Aarsal has been playing some Wuthering Waves, and a whole lot more of Halo: Campaign Evolved, which according to him is the ‘definitive version‘. Strong words!
In news, a relatively quiet week dominated by several big stories. Rockstar have partnered with Netflix for a GTA 6 Extended Look, which won’t be available until after Netflix has aired the show. People seem kind of mad, but to us it feels like the extension of a game cover for a big gaming magazine or something. Elsewhere, EA is now owned by a country as the company goes private once again, and they’re not the only ones looking to do so. All this and more, including your community questions in the DayOne Show Episode 326, available now everywhere for your eyeholes and earholes.
