Lots of chatter about the Man of Steel as of late may lead you to believe the Good Brothers planned to cover Superman: The Animated Series for the month of November just for that sweet, sweet social media engagement. However, it's all a coincidence as the hosts kick off a month's worth of Superman content with a review of the second chapter of the Bizarro trilogy with the aptly titled episode "Bizarro's World." After an extended celebration of Batman: The Animated Series 30th Anniversary, the Good Brothers take a trip around the multiverse for a spooky Elseworlds tale from Batman The Brave and The Bold entitled "Shadow of the Bat!" - Hear the hosts discuss the cold open that features "Bat-Ape" and an appropriately vampire-centric story with an infected Batman terrorizing the Justice League International. With visual fun of numerous manifestations of Batman's vampiric powers and music inspired by classic horror films, the hosts also draw parallels to the horror genre in the plot. Wrapping up the episode, Cal and Liam also discuss how Diedrich Bader's performance allows for a more sinister characterization of the Dark Knight. In what can only be described as a joke gone terribly wrong, the Good Brothers wrap up their month revisiting episodes covered in the early days of the podcast by honoring poll results that had listeners vote for a look back at "The Underdwellers." Will the hosts be able to find anything redeemable about an episode that finds itself among the lowest rank of all time? Does Batman fighting numerous crocodiles and a man dressed like a pirate with an army of children have anything redeemable for Cal & Liam to discuss? The Good Brothers are continuing the Batman: The Animated Series 30th anniversary celebration with a unique month of reviews, choosing to revisit some of the episodes that they tackled very early on in the podcast's run. The Good Brothers have taken September to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Batman: The Animated Series and take the last week of the month to honor the character created for the show that is celebrating her own anniversary, has gone on to be one of DC Comic's most valuable and widely known intellectual properties, Harley Quinn. The hosts talk about all of her appearances from Season 1 of BTAS including her first appearance as a part of Joker's gang in "Joker's Favor" all the way through her comedy spots in "The Man Who Killed Batman" and "The Laughing Fish" and her character defining pairing with Pamela Isley in "Harley & Ivy." The hosts also discuss some of her appearances in the tie-in comic Batman Adventures Volume One including her sought after first appearance in Issue 12 and the origin in the legendary Mad Love one shot. It's a very exciting month at the DCAU Review as the Good Brothers celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Batman: The Animated Series debuting on TV. Kicking things off for the month the hosts are reviewing an episode that's often in the discussion amongst fans as one of the series' very best with the episode "Read My Lips."
