Today is the Winter Solstice. The day with the shortest amount of daylight.
It heralds the official beginning of winter.
In the seasons of life, winter symbolizes death.
Something, I’ve been thinking a lot about as I move through my middle years and as I watch my mother progress through her own winter.
Today's episode focuses on death. Not in a morbid way.
This will be a conversation more about life, then death.
You see, embracing our mortality, helps us to be more intentional about how we live our life.
So, contemplating death and our mortality is really about contemplating life, and living life to the fullest.
Listen to hear what I've learned through lots of time spent contemplating death, especially my own.
