On today's episode of The New Stack Makers, TNS Managing Editor Joab Jackson speaks with with Liz Rice, formerly of Microscaling. Liz, and the other two co-founders of Microscaling, Anne Currie and Ross Fairbanks, are thought-leaders in the emerging field container-based microservices.
Jackson notes he was, 'Kind of surprised,' when they had announced earlier this month that they were putting their company, Microscaling, on hold. Microscaling had a number of interesting technologies, include software that offers a way to schedule containers based on service-level agreements, and also a format for adding metadata labels to containers—both of these technologies address needs that will clearly be important as containers move into large-scale enterprise operations. In the interview, he hopes to find out why the the decision was made to put Microscaling on ice for the time being.
