Nicky Clayton is the Professor of Comparative Cognition and a University Teaching Officer in the Department of Psychology at Cambridge University, and a Fellow of Clare College. She was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2010. Her expertise as a scientist lies in the contemporary study of how animals and children think.

Clive Wilkins works as a fine art painter and has exhibited widely including at the National Portrait Gallery, London on several occasions. He has also exhibited at the Royal Academy and various Mayfair galleries. Clive is a performer and professional magician with a particular interest in the nature of illusion and the psychology of perception and the methods used to make sense of a strange world.

Together this dynamic duo are the co-founders of The Captured Thought, which is an arts and science collaboration that explores mental time travel, the subjective experience of thinking and the nature of creativity.

Anthony is a former Australian evangelist in the Assemblies of God and an author whose book, A Life of Unlearning describes his experience in Australia's first ex-gay program. He is also the Co-founder and previous Convenor of Freedom2b which is a network for LGBTIQ people from Pentecostal, Charismatic and Evangelical backgrounds. He is also the founder and CEO of Ambassadors & Bridge Builders International (ABBI).

Dr Janine Winter is a University of Otago bioethics researcher and palliative care physician.

Recently Dr Winters made a submission to David Seymour's 'End of Life Choice Bill' where she stated it was "terrible" with "terminal flaws".

"As a doctor, I would never want to participate in hastening death. It's one of the reasons I'm able to do the work that I do in palliative medicine. It allows me to sleep at night that I allow a natural process to occur."

Damian's voice is a familiar one to Dunedin citizens and families; as a morning broadcaster in local radio. He is also a Dunedin City Councillor and hugely interested in the local and international political spheres. Damian is also a Vegan, something we get into a little in later part of this chat.

Pat Brittenden talks with Maire Leadbeater, a New Zealand human rights and peace activist, writer, and former social worker. During the 1980s and 1990s, Leadbeater served as the media spokesperson for the New Zealand Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, which successfully campaigned for a New Zealand nuclear-free zone and a ban on visits by nuclear-armed and nuclear-powered ships. She was also involved in various other human rights groups including the Auckland East Timor Independence Committee, the Philippines Solidarity Network of Aotearoa and the Indonesia Human Rights Committee.
