Today I found myself pondering why it is that I always find myself feeling defensive in certain situations. As I was lost in thought, I noticed that it feels like it's not just me. Am I missing something? Am I seeing something that isn't there? Let's talk about it, because life is too short to constantly be on guard.

I have been in some end game situations where the difference between a win and a loss was motivation from coach, and that's what I tried to do today despite some distractions. I really hope the message comes through here.

I feel that we are currently in a season of using our presence/absence as a weapon. I feel as though we spend a ton of time trying to get people's "appreciation" via various behaviors. But if you are getting what you want for acting out, is that sincere? Is it possible to seek peace without creating turmoil for others? I wanted to explore this by asking the question "how can I walk away from something without weponizing my presence or absence?" It would be a lot easier if we were not so quick to judge changes in energy as driven by retaliatory factors.

I had a conversation last week that made me realize a lot of the things I talk about here or on other socials posts are viewed through the lens of individual reactions in which they feel they can identify the interaction on which my feelings a based. I don't do things to challenge people or to make people feel called out, however I do have a tendency when something happens to me multiple times to address it publicly in the interest of receiving perspective or feedback on it. Then it hit me that even this conversation has happened multiple times between myself and others.

Ever since getting into streaming, I have often wondered what the difference was between a parasocial friendship and a one-sided friendship. I think I am starting to learn. I guess the hard part of the journey is the not caring part, I'll never know how people do that.

I decided today that I was just going to ramble about safe spaces for a bit. I am losing a few of mine, which makes me very sad, but also at the same time I am motivated to create some that are self sufficient. I don't want to feel less than anymore. I want to feel like I matter, and not like I have to diminish myself to fit into someone else's "safe space".

I believe that sometimes we hold back. And while I respect protecting one's safety and sanity, when seeking to be understood, very little is more important than context. What one is saying and what another is hearing can be very different and can alter the way we interact with one another.

I don't really know to be honest. This whole game, this whole thing is very weird, and I don't really know how to attack it anymore. I feel like I need to do an entire perspective shift but I don't even know where to start. Feedback appreciated.
