In this podcast we chat with Kate about neurodivergence and the importance of understanding this is relation to supporting learners.
As an educational developer, Kate’s work centres around curriculum enhancement, with an increasing focus on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in the curriculum. Kate sits on the University's Culture and Student Experience Subgroup, working towards achieving the Race Equality Charter. She supports processes such as Periodic Review, new module/programme development, and TESTA, both via active involvement in existing processes and through developmental work on the curriculum processes themselves. Kate supports educational innovation and best practice through research and dissemination
via: events, communities of practice, case studies, workshops, and guidance material, and, together with Professor Gita Sedghi, Dr Zainab Hussain and Dr
Monica Chavez, with input from UoL staff and students, co-created the University's Inclusive Curriculum Tool. Kate recently ran an Inclusive Curriculum
workshop at AdvanceHE's EDI 2023 Conference with colleagues Laura Blundell, David Watson, and Student Presenter Duong Tran. She contributes to UoL
committees, working groups, and task and finish groups as requested.
