In this podcast we chat with Terry, John, Ahmed, Severina and Dane about their team’s recent Sir Alistair Pilkington Award for Teaching Excellence awarded for their development of online student exchange opportunities through Collaborative Online International Learning, or COIL, projects.
Terry McNulty is Professor of Management and Corporate Governance at the University of Liverpool Management School and Associate Dean (International). He has a track record of research excellence and institutional leadership developed over three decades in Russell Group Universities and Schools of Business and Management Studies (Liverpool, Leeds and Warwick).
John Green is the ULMS Study Abroad & Internationalisation Officer and has been working in the field of International Education since 2013; starting out as an International Strategy intern and latterly an International Projects Coordinator for Manchester Metropolitan University before joining the Management School in 2017 and completing his Masters in Public Administration and obtaining a qualification Project Management.
Dr Dane Anderton is the Director of ULMS MBA Programmes and Director of Studies for the Liverpool MBA. Dane manages the strategic and operational aspects of the MBA to ensure that students have the best possible student journey whilst studying at ULMS. Dane works with a number of researchers and teaching faculty who input and deliver on our MBA. He is also responsible for the MBA's role in maintaining triple accreditation for the Management School (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS).
Dr Severina Cartwright is a Lecturer in Marketing, the Global Opportunities Academic Lead for the University of Liverpool Management School and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She is also Freeman of the City of London and Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Marketors.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Abdin is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing and Programme Director for BA Marketing at The University of Liverpool Management School. He specialises in branding, services research, health marketing and internationalisation aimed to enhancing the student experience and school/University strategic outcomes.
