NEW EPISODES OUT OF FRIDAYS!!!
It's the new year, that means it's time for a rebrand. Right? That's what that means...RIGHT? Welcome to the beginning of the next chapter of the podcast. Hopefully it's our best one yet. We continue to be a work in progress, and we hope you stick with us as we continue to grow. In this new era, we are allowing ourselves the freedom to watch and read whatever moves us. As always, we will be taking recommendations. So, feel free to send us your suggestions.

We are coming at you on this Christmas morning with Candy Cane Lane. This wacky and (family friendly?) Christmas movies has us asking questions like

Why is Nick Offerman British?
Is counting calculus?
Whose fetish did this movie satisfy?

Listen to this episode to find out if any of these questions get answered.

And now we're back! From outer space!

Woops I meant from our regularly scheduled break! (Plus a day or so).

The second book we ever read and discussed for the podcast was A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins when it was released in 2020. So of course, we had to watch the movie now that it's out in theaters! Thank goodness the strike is over huh?

Join us as we discuss the similarities and differences between the book and movie and the merit of the movie itself. And as we ask the question only you, our loyal listeners can answer; Does this count as a sequel?

Happy Thanksgiving Deviants!

And this Thanksgiving we are grateful to be back and for authors highlighting the plight of Palestinians in Gaza.

This week we read and discuss Susan Abulhawa's 2019 Novel Against the Loveless World.  A poignant story about a Palestinian woman held as a prisoner in an Israeli prison and how she got to be there. Join us as we discuss the beauty of the novel and share our thoughts on the current conflict.

Palestine will be free.

The week we are once again taking up the mantle as the C-Presidents of the Tiffany D. Jackson Fan Club! And as Co-Presidents, this October we are bringing you Tiffany's (yes we are on a first name basis!) spookiest read to date, The Weight of Blood.

Join us as we read this Carrie retelling and discuss all things Maddy, Kendrick, Wendy, Jules and the rest of the headline making events in the small town of  Springville, Georgia. And find out why Racism (tm) might just be the scariest part of all.
