Ever wondered why the church altar holds such an allure, or why context is crucial in understanding the Bible? Join me, Pastor Jason, as I take you beyond the sermon, The Altar, to explore these curiosities. Discover the altar's role as more than just an ecclesiastical centerpiece—it's a silent witness to personal transformations and a testament to Jesus's grace that has graced the milestones from salvation to sanctification.

Dive into scripture with a fresh perspective as we connect the dots between Numbers 32 and Joshua 22, unearthing the rich historical tapestry that forms the backdrop of biblical events. It's not just about reading the Bible; it’s about engaging with it, letting the stories of the twelve tribes of Israel shed light on the Word and its relevance today. This insight fuels our weekly services, where scripture is not merely read, but brought to life, nurturing your spiritual growth each time you listen.

And when it comes to faith, communion, and public profession, the waters run deep. We'll unpack the sacred act of communion, often misunderstood and misinterpreted, through the lens of 1 Corinthians 11:17-26. It's a call to examine our hearts and actions, ensuring we embody the grace and unity that communion represents.

No matter what place you go into, there is furniture. Some things are in an eclectic collection, but other things are in a room because they carry value beyond visual appeal. The Church has furniture like that, with a communion table and the pulpit, which we understand their importance. But there is another piece that we need to be reminded.

Why do Christians tithe and does God really care how much you give?

For many Christians, giving can become just another church routine. We put something in the offering, give ten percent because that’s what we were taught, or sometimes don’t give at all. But biblical giving is about more than an amount. It reveals something about our trust, fear, and surrender to God.

In 1 Samuel 13:1–15, King Saul faces an impossible situation. His army is disappearing, the Philistines are gathering, and Samuel hasn’t arrived when Saul expects him. Fear and impatience take over, and Saul performs an act of worship while his heart is being driven by something other than trust in God.

In this sermon, Pastor Jason explores tithing, Christian giving, biblical generosity, stewardship, faith over fear, and what it means to be a cheerful giver. From Saul’s fear-driven sacrifice to Paul’s teaching in 2 Corinthians 9:6–7, we discover that God isn’t looking for giving motivated by guilt, pressure, or the promise of getting something in return.

Whether you give regularly, struggle with tithing, or have never really considered why Christians give, the deeper question isn't simply, “How much should I give?” It is: What is ruling my heart when I give?

You are loved and valued by God before anything ever goes into an offering plate. Christian generosity isn't about purchasing God's favor. It is an act of worship flowing from a heart surrendered to Him.

38 years… that is how long the man in John 5 had been sick. When there was opportunity for a chance to be made well, the man made every effort to be in position. But he had no one to help him when it mattered most. That is until one day, Jesus…
