The Dirt Path Sermon Podcast

Can you obey God... and still miss His heart?

In one of the Bible's strangest stories, God tells Balaam to go with the Moabite officials, but then becomes angry when he goes. Was God changing His mind, or was something deeper happening beneath the surface?

In Numbers 22:7–35, we explore the story of Balaam and his talking donkey to discover that God isn't interested in outward obedience alone. He sees the motives of our hearts. His will never gives us permission to sin, pursue selfish ambition, or run away from the calling He has placed on our lives.

If you've ever struggled to discern God's will, questioned your motives, or wondered whether you're following Him with your whole heart, this message will challenge and encourage you to surrender more fully to the Good Shepherd.

What if God answered the prayer you’ve been praying tomorrow? Would you be ready?

In 1 Samuel 9:15–24, God tells Samuel that the future king of Israel is coming. Samuel doesn’t simply hear God’s promise and wait, he prepares. When Saul arrives, a place is ready for him and a special portion has already been set aside.

In this Christian sermon, Pastor Jason explores trusting God’s promises, preparing for God to move, spiritual growth, revival, faith, obedience, and surrender. If we truly believe God can answer our prayers and move in our lives, churches, and communities, then our faith should shape how we prepare today.

Maybe you’re hungry to see God do something new. Maybe you’ve been praying for revival, direction, or a breakthrough. Samuel’s example challenges us to ask whether we’re simply praying for God to move or actually living like we expect Him to.

God is still at work. What are you putting aside today in preparation for what He wants to do tomorrow?
