The Disneyholics Show - A Disney Podcast Dedicated to Disney Fans

We have a treasure trove of Disney miscellany, including Myke TV's updated review of 'The Little Mermaid' and our thoughts on the intriguing Apple x Disney announcement for the upcoming Apple Vision Pro. In honor of Pride Month, we'll play a Rainbow Connection-themed game and discuss the inclusivity embodied by The Muppets and other Jim Henson creations. We also plunge into the colorful spirit of Pride across Disney parks, spotlighting key events and cool merchandise!

In this wet and wild episode we submerge ourselves in mermaid mythology before embarking on an undersea exploration of Disney's merfolk - from classics like "The Little Mermaid" and "Peter Pan," to Pixar shorts and less expected occurrences in "Aladdin" and "Sofia the First." We delve into mermaid appearances in live-action films like "Splash" and "Dumbo," discussing how Michael Eisner's tenure influenced Disney's expansion into mature content, while also uncovering quirky facts like the intense audition process for Disneyland mermaids. Last but not least, we discuss the groundbreaking opening weekend of the live-action "The Little Mermaid," comparing critic and audience scores and sharing our own reviews!

Today we're strolling down a street full of miscellany topics. From a potential first trip to Disney's Aulani resort to an unexpected casting announcement for the upcoming Star Wars series, Skeleton Crew. Could we see a Frozen-themed Matterhorn ride in the future? Could a trackless log flume ride be on the horizon for an upcoming Moana themed land? We also muse on the idea of bringing back the American Idol attraction at Hollywood Studios. Plus, we'll celebrate the adorable addition of the first-ever Filipino-American Sesame Street muppet! To wrap things up, this week's Patreon topic has us hosting a March Madness-style bracket (yes, in May) of Disneyland Resort attraction queues! Which ride queue will rise to the top?

Today we are continuing our Patreon Takeover with an AMA and the history of live animals in Disney Parks, as well as our reviews of Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite and a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3!

We are back from Las Vegas and excited to share our incredible experience visiting the Disney Animation Immersive Experience exhibit! Then we jump into hyperdrive to catch up with Din Djarin for our review of The Mandalorian Season 3. Plus, we celebrate May the 4th with a Disney Parks Star Wars trivia game!
