  • Episode 7: Thunderbird Divine's Erik Caplan Part 2 (Doom / Psych)

On Episode 7 of the Distorted Dialogue Podcast, I had so much fun talking with Philadelphia Doom metal band Thunderbird Divine’s front man, Erik Caplan, I figured I’d do it again! One of the most diverse multi-instrument musicians I have ever met, we discuss the success of Thunderbird Divine's new album, Little Wars, influences, recommendations and more! A down to earth dude, who couldn't have been kinder, thanks to Erik Caplan, for taking time out of his schedule to talk with me, again!

If you get a chance, snag a copy of Little Wars, off of Black Doomba Records, their latest release.

  • Episode 6: Black Sites' Mark Sugar (Progressive Metal)

On Episode 6 of the Distorted Dialogue Podcast, I sit down with Mark Sugar of Modern Progressive metal band Black Sites, to talk about recording their newest metal release, THE PROMISED LAND? It’s a diverse progressive metal album where you can find hints of thrash, traditional and even moments of doom metal! Mark and I talk about his influences, sounds that shaped The Promised Land?, and other parts of the music industry.

Thanks to Mark for taking time out, out of his schedule, such a relatable, down to earth, guest on this Podcast, If you haven't heard The Promised Land? yet, it is great! Featuring guitarist Tom Draper, from bands Spirit Adrift, Carcass and more, this album is a total package. It's heavy enough to please metal heads and rhythmic enough for rockers.

  • Episode 4: Tungsten's Karl Johannson (Power Metal)

A conversation with bassist Karl Johannson from the Swedish Power metal band TUNGSTEN! We discuss the upcoming album The Grand Inferno, the released singles from The Grand Inferno, touring to support the album and more! While I thought Tungsten was a straightforward Power metal band, but there is moments of death metal, thrash metal and more, giving them a unique sound.

Being in the band with his brother and father can make for some great, but also frustrating times, and Karl explains how this unique family environment influences the dynamics of the band. We discuss what it is like on the road together, how each others influence the sound, and how each of them found their own instruments.

With such powerful singles leading the release of the album, it's sure going to be heavy, and being on Reigning Phoenix Music, you know it's going to be quality! Check out Tungsten and check out this episode too!

  • Episode 3: God Dethroned's Henri Sattler (Doom / Psych)

On Episode three of the Distorted Dialogue Podcast, I sit down with God Dethroned's Henri Sattler, who is a tried and true veteran of the Melodic Death Metal and Extreme Metal genre, both playing and production, as well.

We talk about God Dethroned's upcoming album, The Judas Paradox, The Last Supper, Gojira playing the Olympics, touring the world, previous works and much, much, more!

Henri also tells about how he is mixing metal music now, and if you want that heavier sound, check his works out!

Henri was a great guest and couldn't have been nicer. God Dethroned's, The Judas Paradox, is a masterclass in song writing, and execution of melodic death metal, which Henri has been helping shape the sound of since the early 1990's. Special thanks to Henri Sattler, for taking time out of his busy schedule to sit and speak with me. I had a great time, and I learned a ton! Catch God Dethroned out on tour now!
