On Sunday, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) released the party’s 2024 platform. In a press release, the DNC noted that the platform had been passed on July 16, prior to President Joe Biden’s exit from the presidential race, but that the document “makes a strong statement about the historic work that President Biden and Vice President Harris have accomplished hand-in-hand.” The platform, however, was not updated to reflect that Biden is no longer the nominee, frequently referring to the president’s plans for a second term.
