In this segment of my Pitbull series I talk about Michael Vick's dog fighting career, his arrest and conviction, the aftermath and the devastating blow his football career took.

This episode may be too harsh for some people because I will be discussing a tragic subject matter, the clandestine world of dog fighting. But I hope more people can steel themselves enough to become more aware and educated about this non-sport. It is in no way a sport, it is an illegal activity that is now a federal crime in this country. If you really love dogs then please have the heart to help advocate for stopping this horrific crime.

In this episode I talk about dealing with allergies and having a vet list for emergency purposes. I also say a little about BSL and landlord issues and concerns about dangerous dogs. I also throw in some random subjects about dogs in general.

In this podcast I explain what a Pitbull is. I talk about what is a "typey" breed and purebred breeds and their origins. I also talk about Pitbull aggressive behaviors and prey drive. I also bring up the subject of responsible breeding to eliminate aggressive traits.

In this episode I give my opinion on Pitbulls. Over the course of 30 years I have had several Pitbulls as pets. I talk about the good and the bad as far as my personal experience owning this breed. This is mostly an opinion piece in regards to what I think about responsible ownership is, BSL, bloodline traits, overpopulation, and several other topics pertaining to Pitbulls.

In this podcast of The Dog Show with Kimberly Quintanilla I talk about my dog Tator. Tator passed just a few weeks prior to this upload. He was the most challenging dog I've ever had in my life. I struggled with training and bonding with him. He was hoot and a source of anxiety and pain for me. But I was never going to give up on him.

In this episode I talk about keeping a dog on a chain. I talk about keeping your dog safe and your responsibility as far as putting your dog on a chain. I also tell a personal experience I have had with the death of a dog due to him being chained up.

I did not post last week due to personal situations. I also experienced a death in my family. One of my dogs died in my arms. I believe in the podcast I reported that he was dead when I woke up but in reality I was holding him when he was cyanotic. Which means he was in the process of taking his last few breaths. Skip this podcast if you are sensitive to this. I also tell my experiences with dogs that have passed and how to be a little prepared for thus event. Dogs have a shorter life span than we humans so this is a process you will have to deal with. The emotional side can blindside some people and cause real depression. I give my insight to this in this podcast.

In this episode I talk about the actual size of the dog you may have an interest in getting. Some people fall for a particular breed but unless they have been around that breed in reality they may not realize how large or small that breed really is. Is the size of the dog compatible with your house, lifestyle and family. Assessing size is a really important aspect of getting a dog. You may want a drooling Mastiff but you might only have room for a toy poodle. The comfort and lifestyle requirements of a dog will outweigh you wants. Remember open heart, open mind.
