The trial will begin soon, and as we learn more, we'll bring updates!
A caller diverts us to talking about immigrant crime. However, every bit of information we have shows that immigrants of all documentation status commit crimes at lower rates than US born citizens. The rate comparison is even more stark when comparing documented and undocumented immigrants.

The University of Wisconsin- La Crosse fired Joe Gow this week for his extracurricular activities. Again. Joe and his wife, on their own time, recorded and posted sex acts to several pornographic websites. The board of regents ousted Joe from his position as Chancellor late last year. Now, they've fired him from his tenured teaching position as well. Joe announced that he will sue the school under ground that his First Amendment rights were violated.
One person whose actions definitely do not fall under the canopy of First Amendment protections? Wausau Mayor Doug Diny. He claims that he removed a ballot box from outside City Hall due to a "philosophical difference" concerning voting. However, the right and responsibility to place drop boxes lies with the city CLERK, not the mayor.

Guest: Jim SantelleNew York City's mayor, Eric Adams, spoke out today about the newly unsealed federal indictment against him. Adams faces charges related to soliciting and accepting financial contributions from foreign nationals in exchange for favors as well as stealing public funds. Meanwhile, Louisiana Congressman Clay Higgins sets new lows for behavior and new highs for how much racism the Republican party tolerates with comments about Haiti and Haitian immigrants. Mayor Adams is a Democratic- no Democratic leaders have denounced the investigations or indictments against Adams. Higgins is a Republican- and the Republican Speaker of the House was quick to defend his fellow Louisianan. The contrast forces us to ask: are Republicans living in a post-shame society? A caller suggests with his behavior that perhaps we are...

Guest: Earl IngramPat Krietlow, Civic Media radio host of Up North News, joins Dom to talk ballot drop boxes in Wausau. He kicks off our conversation for the hour on Wausau's mayor Doug Diny removing a ballot drop box. Pat's comments on the Diny's anti-democratic criming made it all the way to the Raw Story, so we asked him for a few more words of wisdom.
Earl Ingram Jr. joins us at the bottom of the hour to continue the conversation. Callers weigh in on what consequences Mayor Diny should face. One particularly good recommendation: a public apology picnic.

Guests: Pat Kreitlow, Earl IngramMatt Rothschild joins us as our regular Wednesday guest. A woman's perspective. The most recent poll from the Harvard Kennedy School's Institute of Politics shows that young voters are ready and excited to vote for Kamala Harris. Harris holds a particular edge with young women, with a 47% margin lead over Trump. No surprise there. Still, those numbers give us a lot of optimism! Next, we address a response to Trump's comments yesterday about being a "protector" of women, insisting that women will "no longer be thinking about abortion". Producer Jess delivers a dramatic reading of Alexandra Petri's (Washington Post) satirical piece, "It is so much nicer to be a woman in Trump's world".
We wrap the show with a discussion of Biden's farewell address to the UN yesterday. President Biden spoke with clarity, compassion, and grace, showing true leadership perspective on the challenges this world faces.

Guest: Matt RothschildWe hear and read frequent complaints that Kamala Harris doesn't provide specifics when it comes to policy. Well, today, Harris laid out detailed and specific economic policy in Pittsburgh. In contrast, her opponent's proposed policy... well... lacks all substance. Tune in for our highlights with our regular guest, Matt Rothschild.
In the bottom of the hour, we address the disparate ways the media (sometimes ourselves included) cover Trump and Harris. Harris too often receives criticism for lack of content. And Trump far too often benefits from significant sanewashing of his absolutely inane speech and behavior. We're trying to do better.

The charges assert that the intentional lies spread by the two imperil the Haitian immigrants in Springfield and throughout the country.

We say, women won't be able to STOP thinking about abortion until it full bodily autonomy rights are restored and codified in national law.
Next, Bill Carroll- President of Wisconsin Teamsters Join Council 39- joins Dom. This local chapter of the Teamsters chose to endorse Kamala Harris. This, despite the national Teamsters organization refusing to give either major party candidate their endorsement. So why did the national Teamsters abstain from endorsing and why are Wisco Teamsters charting their own course? Tune in!
