Jim Sweeney has lived one hell of a life. You may remember the 1978-79 Boston College Men's basketball point-shaving scandal, where members of organized crime schemed to control the outcomes of many games. You may remember the ESPN 30 for 30, playing for the mob, which featured Jim and the shocking events in detail. But Jim has not let his life be defined by the Scandal that rocked Chestnut Hill. Since completing his degree, Jim has been busy Jim became the Head of the USA for FIMBA, the Federation of International Masters Basketball, which is the largest senior sports federation globally. Jim has been directly involved in recruiting American players and helping organize USA teams for FIMBA global events. As a player, he has competed in more than two dozen countries. He has won 5 World Championships, 2 Pan Am Championships, and 8 National Championships. Jim is also an accomplished writer. Last year he released his book: Old School Hoops: Stories of an Aging Baller. He also trademarked and launched a series of MIKE Sports Comic Books, with my favorite edition being his "Annoying stuff about sports" edition.

In today’s episode, I sit with former ER doctor-turned whistleblower Robert Yoho. Robert Yoho has worked as an emergency physician, and he spent three decades as a cosmetic surgeon. He has had many commendations throughout his career. He was president of the American Society of Cosmetic Breast Surgery and the founder and Director of the New Body Cosmetic Surgery Center. After retiring from medicine in 2019, Yoho worked to Publish his two Novels, Butchered by Healthcare, and Hormone Secrets, telling how you can survive healthcare, the largest and most corrupt industry in America.

The Morality and Efficacy of the Modern U.S. Healthcare system come into question in recent years quite often. With over 66 percent of all adults taking prescription drugs these days, over 20 % taking more than 5. The United States spends the most per capita on drugs. In 2020, pharmaceutical companies spent 300 million dollars in lobbying. In the past ten years, four companies (GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson &Johnson, Abbot Labs, and Amgen) have had to pay 7.4 Billion dollars in criminal settlements on charges such as Off-Label promotion, failure to disclose safety data, paying kickbacks to physicians, poor manufacturing practices, and many more. Even the FDA was involved, as many studies are conducted overseas, without proper guidelines to regulate studies voracity or authenticity, we are often taking a second rate version of a drug already on the market.

We discuss his experience in the medical field, his book, the coronavirus, and of course, the corruption.
