Dare we hope for peace this year? What (or who) can achieve unity across party and ethnic lines? Why have so many attempts at achieving it failed throughout history? Join Alex and Jeremy as they discuss the dead ends of how our world tries to achieve peace and how the only way forward is through the cross.
Jeremy, Alex, and Ben review some of their favorite moments from the last four years of Dominion podcasts, honing in particularly on the dark, but stirring, years during covid. Alex discusses eight things the church will need to think and respond to in the coming years.
On behalf of all of us at Dominion Press — Merry Christmas. May you be filled with encouragement as you look back on God’s faithfulness to you, and filled with hope as you remember he will never leave or forsake you.
Jeremy and Alex discuss the leavening influence of ideology on the church and broader culture and what happens when Christians abandon pastoral accountability in exchange for online “influencers.” Other topics include the important line in the sand the Antioch declaration serves as and the crippling toll that fatherlessness has exacted on a generation of young men.

The left has made the murder of children and the elderly (or anyone who is having a bad day) a main part of their sales pitch. This brazen move reflects a clear moral line between those who ‘love death’ (Prov 8:36) and those who love God and their neighbours. This week Alex and Jeremy discuss how we can resist this movement, and cultivate a culture of life.

In light of the recent electoral landslide, Alex and Jeremy discuss how Christians should respond to Trump’s victory. Many Christians wrongly assume that the gratitude required of us for rulers who allow for good (cf. 1 Tim 2:1-2) is an implicit endorsement for everything they are and do. This is not true, logically or Scripturally. Christians should be thankful for any restraint on evil, and promotion of good, even while we remain critical in calling all men to repent and turn to Christ.
This week, Alex and Jeremy are joined by Ben to discuss his recent article, ‘Race: Legitimate, Not Paramount’. and the present rise of ethno-centric ideologies and primitive, pagan tribalism.

Show Notes:
This week, Jeremy and Alex discuss the task of taking dominion in light of the reality of death. On the one hand, death’s power has been definitively broken in the death of Christ. On the other hand, death’s presence will remain until the return of Christ, when He will destroy His final enemy.
One of the dangers we face in our path of following Christ is the temptation to desire the many good gifts He gives more than Him. Jesus Christ is merciful and good, and there are countless blessings to His reign. Western culture has experienced many of these. But it is possible to love justice, and the rule of law, and human dignity, and free markets, and family, and freedom and not love Christ. And it is no profit to man to gain the whole world and lose Christ.Show Sponsor: Resistance Coffee Co
