SEASON 6!
This season, for every episode, my guests and I will be answering one question:
CAN THE GOSPEL TRANSFORM?
We will be exploring topics, groups of people, or particular institutions that seem irreparable.
Too far gone.
Too difficult and painful to be redeemed and salvaged.
Groups that have come to the point where God seems too small to heal their past, their present, and/or their pain.
Those groups or individuals that cause the Church to think,
“God what about them?
What about that?
Are you able to redeem that situation?
Those thoughts?
That broken heart?
If so, where in the world could we start?”
Behind every so-called hot topic, there is a person or group that has been saved by Christ, and they are searching for wisdom on how to view their current experience, their area of expertise, or their past in a way that honors the Lord.
These topics sometimes become polarizing talking points by preachers from the pulpit, which leave whole communities in confusion about how to move forward.
In addition to all of that, 👇🏽
There is an attitude of hopelessness and pessimism going around, mostly out in the world, but I’ve noticed it coming out in the Church as well, and not from everyone nor in every space, but there is this growing sense of things becoming more and more irreconcilable, so much so, that it seems like the only way to handle these people and institutions, is to get rid of them altogether, gaslight them into non-existence, and start from scratch.
Season 6 is meant to resist that urge to do away with all the hard stuff. To lean into conversations about healing and restoration.
To give those who are asking legitimate questions….gospel-saturated, and hope-filled answers.
Not just to read more, pray more, and go to church more often, but to embrace Jesus’ call to ABIDE.
BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY.
AT ALL COSTS.
