It is no shock that the Black community is in need of an overhaul. Exhausted by the circumstances they face, many have given up and accepted what they feel to be insurmountable odds. Drugs, crime, gang violence, and a myriad of other 'plights' have become commonplace. However, there are men (and women) out there who are doing their part to make a difference and provide positive options. Greg Rogers and Javar Fulton are two of those leaders and their 'Get Off The Block' program is making a difference in the lives of young Black men striving to better themselves. 

I will dialogue with Greg and Javar about the challenges faced by today's youth. They will share information about the program and why it is of extremem importance. It will be a wake-up call for many and an eye-opener for others. Tune in!

Is America sexually liberated, or the epitome of prude? Let's talk about what is normal, vs. what some consider to be the blame for everything wrong with the USA.

In an image driven society the 'smoke and mirrors' we see in print and on television can affect how a person may view themselves. Flawless presentations of the human face and body give an unrealistic vantage point of the overall society. Those who feel as thought they don't fit into what society labels as 'beautiful' may fall victim to bouts with depression and feelings of worthlessness. However, there is not one person on this Earth who does not have flaws. Regardless of how high they are elevated, underneath the faceade is a mere mortal with issues just like the rest of us. 

Tonight let's discuss our insecurites. Let's be transparent.

Having sex is easy; but, that space between clothes on and clothes off can oftentimes be void of important -and necessary- dialogue. This episode will discuss some of the questions that should be asked before sex but are oftentimes avoided; especially knowledgeabout HIV statuses. Yes, some do get clarity before sex but a slew of people don't, and then get angry when things go left. Let's discuss this and figure how to best incorporate the right questions into the pre-sex convo.

Everyone loves a good comedian. A person who will provide humorous relief during times of stress, frustration, and seasons of grief. We anxiously sit and challenge them to say or do something that will have us hunched over in laughter; but, if they fail we will forever hold them accountable for wasting our time.

Comics are required to capture our attention and keep us entertained from start to finish. They are responsible for shifting mundane and boring environments into celebratory spaces filled with jovial antics. Depending on the audience they either need to be obnoxiously raunchy or as clean as a whistle. Can you imagine performing under that kind of pressure? Yet, across the country funny men and women do it every day. 

This show will feature three comics from Los Angeles who are making names for themselves: Mellroz Unncutt, Jaye Devan, and Antonio Gillings. They are going to share some of the challenges they face, goals they have, and how they deal with boring crowds and hecklers. The dialogue is going to tickle your funny bone and enlighten you on a much loved profession.

The Christian church has been under a microscope for quite some time. Many who were once adamant about attending are now finding solace in the privacy of their own home via televised broadcasts and live-streams. However, those individuals still uphold the Christian banner and profess to follow Jesus Christ. There is a difference between being a non-church going Christian and one who has left the faith altogether.

This episode will feature two individuals who were once actively involved in Christianity (even held ministerial titles) and have resolved within themselves that there is another way to God. Yes, they are ex-Christians who unapologetically subscribe to a different belief system. They will share their experiences with the church, Christianity, God, and how they came to the place of peace they are currently in. 

I believe this will be a very deep and enlightening show that will shed light on a myriad of issues pertaining to religion, spirituality and the quest for a peace-filled life.

Kudos to the Transgender community for finally getting the positive spotlight they deserve. Celebrities Janet Mock, Laverne Cox, Chaz Bono and Caitlyn Jenner have truly helped kick down doors and ignite thought provoking conversations about another aspect of human sexuality. However, some of the media exposure seems a bit contrived and competitive as if networks are trying to 'one-up' the other by including a Trans topic or character in their programming.   

Most recently rumors spread of the Real Housewives of Atlanta adding a Trans person to their cast. That being said, are Black gay men no longer the hot ticket on reality television. Has their season runs its course, and if so is it wise for the Trans community to try to fill that void? Will it devalue their struggle or take things to the next level.

This is going to be a very exciting conversation with special guests Tyesse Jackson and Kentay Williams.

There is nothing like a great new original series to stir things up. 'Cheetah in August' is a riveting story about a former high school track athlete who's distorted views on love, negatively affects the people closest to him. The journey of the main character (August) from his high school years into adult life is extremely relate-able and current to the times of today. 

This interview will feature the series Writer/Creator Andrew Malone and Director Anthony Bawn. They will candidly discuss the show the processes leading up to it's release, and the over-the-top sex scenes that leave viewers in need of an ice-bath.

Black fathers are often stereotyped as cold, distant, or absent men who don't engage with their children. They are accused of making babies and leaving them by the wayside. Although this may be true of some, it definitely is not the case for all. This episode will discuss fatherhood and hear from men who play an integral part in the lives of their offspring. We will also discuss some of the challenges fathers face in regard to custody battles, struggles with 'baby-momma's, and their concerns about the well being of their children. 

I will be joined by Martinez Sellers of the Inland Empire Father Involvement Coalition (IEFIC). He will share insight and promote his upcoming Fatherhood Conference "Fathers Leaving a Legacy" with special guests Leadership Coach Barry E. Knight and Actor Richard T. Jones. This will definitely be an empowering discussion.

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) --A spike in gang violence in South Los Angeles could be spread by social media and has resulted in increased police patrols in the area. Five people were shot within a matter of hours in three separate incidents Saturday night, which resulted in the Los Angeles Police Department issuing a tactical alert. Some believe the shootings are related to the social media postings using #100Days100Nights. They are messages warning of gang warfare and threats of 100 days of violence.

That is but one of the headlines circulating throughout Los Angeles. Some say it's a conspiracy to evoke fear within the Black community. Others believe it to be a truth that needs far more attention. Either way you look at it, lives have been senselessly lost and residents of South Los Angeles are tired.

On this episode I will be joined by Pastor Michael JT Fisher of Greater Zion Baptist Church in Compton, CA. He will share reports from a community meeting he held (hours earlier) with pastors, politicians, and commuity activists about the wave of killings in his city and what needs to be done to shift things. I challenge everyone to listen-in and/or call-in because enough is enough. It is time for a change.
