DOOMED CINEMA

Werewolves in Wheels (1970)

I just watched my favorite '70s movie, Werewolves on Wheels. If you haven't seen it, this one has it all: bike culture, satanism, desert roads, and a wonderful original soundtrack to match. It's hard not to fall in love with it. The acting is natural and very spontaneous. There's realistic use of drug use during a time when it was still only hinted at in drive-in flicks. And there's a kind of Tarantino-Rodriguez vibe to the second half, which the title implies (though nowhere near as disappointing as 'From Dust Till Dawn'). If you have a chance to get a hold of the DVD copy, you'll really enjoy the cinematography, something that's only somewhat appreciable through the TV rip currently available on YouTube (but curiosity seekers can definitely find a lot of satisfaction checking it out there). Also, I've selected from the artists that appeared at this year's Psycho Las Vegas.
