What do startup founders and lawyers have in common?

Both would rather avoid due diligence!  

For startups, due diligence can significantly delay funding if the due diligence process is not properly managed and issues are uncovered at the last minute.  

For lawyers, due diligence can be a monotonous task as they spend hours reviewing hundreds of documents trying to make sure they don't miss any issues they are supposed to find.   

This video is a guide on how to survive the dead due diligence process (clue: preparation is the key!). It is aimed at startups but is also useful for any aspiring lawyers who want to know more about what DD is, what the process involves and why it is important!

They know how to how to gain trust and recognition and ultimately stand out in a crowded and competitive market.   

Adopting an entrepreneurial mindset also allows lawyers to take more control over their career and forge their own career path often giving them a higher level of job satisfaction in return.
