In our second part of our year-end games discussion, Mike sits down with his wife, Erika, to chat about all of the games that she played this past year. Erika is a self-described backseat gamer and has only recently been dabbling in certain games that catch her eye here and there. We love getting the gaming perspective from people of all skill levels and experiences, so chatting with Erika about these games - some of which are pretty high-profile - from her point of view is quite refreshing!

Please check out the Dorkiest resident cool teen, Zoey’s, episode on her favorite games of the year and stay tuned and stay subscribed to listen to the episode dedicated to Mike, co-host of the show!

We’re right about at the end of the gaming year of 2022 and you all know what that means: LISTS!! We here at The Dorkiest love lists and year-end lists are some of the best because we’ve all got them! In this first part of our end-of-the-year discussion, we’re splitting them up into highlighting the favorite games from some of our co-hosts. This episode is Zoey - our resident teenaged cool girl - sitting down with her dad, Mike, just chatting and reminiscing about all her favorites.

Please stay tuned for more episodes dedicated to Erika - The Dorkiest’s resident casual and back-seat gamer - and Mike, co-host of the show!

This meeting of the DORKY DORKY LITERATURE CLUB is now in session!

Welcome back to The Dorkiest Podcast! We’re happy that you’re spending time with us today. On this episode, we’re doing another session of ‘Ask A Dork About...’ and this time, Zoey chats with Mike about the surprise viral hit, ‘Doki Doki Literature Club’. A game that released quietly and under-the-radar back in 2018 on Steam and then word started to spread about its true nature and what lies underneath its cutesey, innocent exterior. #JustMonika

TW: Because of the nature of the game, in the spoilers section, we briefly discuss themes of self-harm and suicide. Please be aware. Thank you.

No matter how hard we try or how many games we play, the vast majority of us will still have blindspots when it comes to certain franchises or genres or series. On today's episode, Daniel and Mike share with one another the blindspots they have and whether or not they feel like there will ever be a good time to jump into any of them at this point.

We here at The Dorkiest Podcast LOVE the MCU! Why wouldn't we? There's nothing else like it! However, even we are starting to get concerned at both the level of quality of what's been put out post-Avengers: Endgame, as well as the sheer magnitude of upcoming projects coming out in just the next 2 years! So today, Daniel and Mike talk about everything after Phase 3 as well as the break-down of the MCU's most recent Comic-Con panel. Does the updated timeline get us excited for more to come? Or is this becoming a case of quantity over quality.

Come hang with us while we have our first ever State of the MCUnion!
