This episode of Going Deeper talks about God being our help and challenges us as to why we try to do and be everything by ourselves when we have God who is there ready to help and to give us wisdom and revelation.
He wants a connection with us, so be encouraged to stop trying to do things by yourself.
Is your spirit praising and if it’s not; Why?
What draws you close to and enables you to connect with him. It’s simply an activity that you engage in to be more fully alive. That is what we are wired to do and be everyday. What is it that engages you and makes you feel alive. That brings you joy.
Often what brings you most joy will try to be squeezed out of our life.
This episode will encourage you to stir up the joy and set aside specific times to seek out laughter and joy. To think about what makes you happy because a cheerful heart is good medicine.
When you hear laughter run towards it!
How often do we seek everyone else but don’t take the time to seek God?
God wants to lead and guide us, but it’s easier to be led when you are listening and not only leaning on your own understanding.
Be encouraged in this episode of Going Deeper as you learn how to seek God and hear from Him.
God rewards those who diligently seek Him. "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." - Jeremiah 29
This episode talks about unpacking those things that create distractions and weigh you down and encourages you to give it over to Jesus and allow him into those spaces.
In this episode, we discuss how if you want to change your life, change your words. If you want to change your words, meditate and contemplate God’s words and you will be transformed.
If you keep on doing the same things you will get the same results.
In this episode, we talk about how we keep motivated even when we have the vision in front of and then stuff happens to discourage us.
Keep in front of you that all things work together for your good and if it’s not good yet, he’s still working
When we start to break our own word to ourselves that is the most damaging. When you put something in front of you then get it done so you keep your promise to yourself.
If you knew everything was going to be alright and you were going to be alright how would you be today?
This episode of “Going Deeper” digs into why God says everything is and will be alright and how to tap into a supernatural joy.
-God shows us the destination and encourages us to dream but he wants to direct and show us the route.
-But the key is not to think we know the best route
- God has a way and process and he is like our GPS to help get us to our destination
-Don’t keep thinking you know a better route or shortcut
- Trust in the lord
What you can learn afresh about the Christmas story and learn from the people who were chosen to be there?
- The shepherds didn't care what anyone thought. They were the first evangelists in the New Testament. They were humble and ready to go and tell everyone. The people God chooses are humble who have a soft heart and were humbled by the fact that God had shown himself to them.
- In the story of Christmas God chooses the so-called foolish things of the world to declare his word and goodness. God chooses the people who aren't puffed up with pride to use.
- Simeon - when God spoke he did it so that at the opportune time Simeon was there to prophesy over the Saviour of the world
- Chief opponents to Jesus missed out because of their pride and thinking we know how God is going to do something. Don’t miss what God is doing because it doesn’t fit your understanding or you’re not sure. Let God show you. If not sure, put it on the shelf and allow God to bring you understanding. When you think you know it all you can miss it. Humility and having an open heart and allowing God to lead you.
