Greetings gang! Ok, so I failed. That’s right, I forgot to record and publish an episode yesterday, which is a bit of a problem when you’re meant to be a daily podcast... To be honest, I was too exhausted to care about it last night. Why? Because our daughter has been ill with 40•c fever and up all night being sick all over me/us. That’s been fun. In today’s episode I got into the common challenges most parents who run their own business experience when unexpected events happen with regards to their kids health. Let me know what you think! It’s Friday, and I feel broken. It’s been a long week with early wake up calls from my daughter and today we traveled to Paris via Eurostar to visit our family. Problem is, instead of being present with them and connect, I’m thinking of that email I need to send to follow up with some important (and not so important) business matter. Here’s what came up for me.

I always believed that running my own business would mean that I’d have more freedom and control over the way I spend my time. But what I didn’t expect was to not only work more than ever before, but also to feel guilty as hell in whatever role I’m in. Meaning when I’m working I’m questioning whether I should spend more time with my family. And when I’m looking after my daughter, I can’t stop thinking about work. Welcome to The Guilt.

Today is World Mental Health Day. So what better day than today to launch a podcast about the very voice inside our heads that doubts everything we try and do and put out into the world.
